What was the last good science fiction film you saw, not just tolerable but really impressive? I mean something on the level of a 'BladeRunner' or the firlst 'Alien' movie. Cable networks are catching on to this need as shown by the advent of shows like the new Battlestar Galactica, winner of a 2006 Peabody award. Network television has long ago been written off for this level of quality programing but you would think that the major movie studios would have seen the opportunity in this area. To be fair, they have tried on occassion as shown by the first 'Matrix' movie and the flood of comic book adaptations. Once 'BladeRunner' proved to be such a phenominal movie the flood gates...
