I have an iphone that doubles as my ipod...and a separate ipod that lives in my car attached to my stereo. I also have a few freebie flash card mp3 players that are really useful when camping or doing things where I might get dirt, water or otherwise damage the player. Flash cards are cheap but can still hold a lot of music. I think the quality of the earphones is more important than the music player.

I have 3. SanDisk Sansa 1GB - my first one that I got as a test to see if I wanted to jump into the MP3 player swamp - was a nice test, but don't even bother. Creative Zen 30GB - this is a couple years old, and it's UI isn't so bad, but sometimes it decides that it just won't allow any more content to be downloaded to it, even though there is unused capacity. When that happens, I have to go through some complicated re-initialization process that thinking about gives me a headache. Turned me off permanently to Creative's products. iPhone 3G 8GB - need I say more? I can even navigate my yacht using US NOAA charts with its other features.  L.

I have an iPhone, doubles as my iPod, and can't imagine how I ever functioned without it.

Hi Star, my son has an iPod. He really likes it because he can plug it into the car stereo along with all the regular iPod uses. maggie

I have an iPod shuffle to help me jog better... or longer  i really like it, although I've had to replace the earbuds twice already but overall, I really like it.

Good question, Star. I did have an iPod Nano, but a cycle in the washer (long story) rendered it useless. Now my iPhone doubles as an iPod. Curious to see how others respond.
