Being a company owner, I have created a mission statement.

Our mission statement tells our customers, employees and vendors about our values, work ethic and goals of our company.

Our main goal is to offer a very high level of customer service. My companies hands on customer service has kept us in business for over 20 years.

A mission statement should give people an understanding of purpose of a company. Some companies use their mission statements to advertise.

with having an 18 year old daughter whom lives here with her 18 month old son, I'd just like to reclaim my house, not wake up and trip over a hotwheel car, or find everything possible thrown in the bathtub when you just want to walk in fill it up and crawl in. Oh go to do a load of laundry and not find a load of baby clothes.

Did someone forget to tell my daughter that at age 18 your suppose to MOVE OUT?

I definitely believe that reclaiming the living room is appropriate for a personal Mission Statement.

Does reclaiming my living room count? Yeah yeah, not really.

Wake up breathing each morning? Probably not.

Okay, I'll get back to you. I haven't had enough coffee for this one yet.

Most companies, if not all, have a mission statement. These statements give clients and employees a picture of what a company believes in and wishes to accomplish. They give both, depth and insight into the company's personal and business practices which they will use to accomplish their goals. Why do you feel a mission statement is an important aspect of any business?

Mission statements can also not only be for business but personal use. Developing your own personal mission statement can not only help you figure out what you want out of life, but also who you are and how you intend to get there. All of these things can come in very handy in various aspects of everyday life such as seeking employment, helping you make decisions and focusing on your personal and family goals. Do you have your own personal mission statement?

I would like to challenge everyone to try their hand at creating your own personal mission statement and sharing it here on the boards or perhaps in your bio on your profile. I think this would be a great way to get to know each other and a gain insight into what everyone is about. This also gives me the determination to develop my own mission statement. If you have any tips or hints please share them.
I can't wait to see what you come up with. You are all so creative!
